Why Install Minipass?

Installing Minipass on your home screen gives you:

  • Quick access - Open Minipass with one tap, no need to type the URL
  • Full-screen experience - No browser toolbar, feels like a native app
  • Push notifications - Receive updates about your activities
  • No app store needed - Install directly from your browser
  • Minimal storage - Takes almost no space on your device

Requirements

Platform Browser Notes
Android Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet Most browsers support PWA
iPhone/iPad Safari only Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot install PWAs

Android - Install

  1. Open Minipass in Chrome (or Edge/Samsung Internet)
  2. Tap the menu (3 dots in top-right) → "Add to Home screen"
  3. Tap "Add" to confirm

The Minipass icon will appear on your home screen.

Android - Uninstall

  1. Long-press the Minipass icon on your home screen
  2. Drag to "Remove" or tap "Uninstall"

iPhone - Install

Important: You must use Safari. Other browsers on iPhone cannot install PWAs.

  1. Open Minipass in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow at the bottom of the screen)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap "Add" to confirm

The Minipass icon will appear on your home screen.

iPhone - Uninstall

  1. Long-press the Minipass icon on your home screen
  2. Tap "Remove App" → "Delete App"

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
"Add to Home Screen" option not visible Make sure you're using HTTPS. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
iPhone: Option not available You must use Safari. Chrome/Firefox on iOS cannot install PWAs.
App not updating Close the app completely (swipe it away), then reopen it.
Notifications not working Check your device's notification settings for the browser you used to install.
App looks different after update Clear the app from your home screen and reinstall it.
